Free media paid for by advertising? Not without security Many in the streaming media industry are attempting to make their business model based on advertising revenue. The natural assumption is that security is not required for free media. The SMTC has discovered that a byproduct of "root url discovery methods" is that consumers may eliminate advertising from their streams and thus crush the advertising based business model.
